We got excellent value for our money at Athulya Villas, Kandy. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed the beautiful views from our terrace. The staff treated us with great friendliness and helpfulness, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The one thing that could make the breakfast better was the food selection.

The villa at Athulya Villas in Kandy was amazing! The room had a TV, air conditioning, and a terrace where we could sit and relax. It even had soundproofing, so we could enjoy a peaceful stay. The private entrance made us feel like we had our own little retreat. Plus, the spa bath in the room was a luxurious touch. We loved every moment of our stay here!
The only thing we didn't enjoy as much was the bath in the private bathroom. It's just our personal preference, but others might still find it enjoyable.

Text: Had a lovely stay at a certain villa in the mountains. Impressive scenery, nice pool, and delicious food. But, oh, the creaky bathroom door and torn bedsheets. What an amusing experience! 😉

The room at Athulya Villas was cozy and comfortable with a TV, air conditioning, and a private entrance. The soundproofing was a nice touch, ensuring a peaceful stay. The spa bath added a touch of luxury and relaxation. The seating area was perfect for unwinding after a long day. As a budget traveler, I felt like I was getting great value for my money.
Personally, I found the garden view to be less appealing compared to other features. However, I understand that others may still enjoy it for its natural beauty.

I recently stayed at Athulya Villas in Kandy for a few days and it was a wonderful experience. The property is stunning, with beautiful views of the hills and a peaceful atmosphere. The villas are spacious and comfortable, with a lovely terrace for enjoying breakfast and the sounds of birds singing. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the restaurant, set around a charming water pond, served delicious food. The value for money was excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and beautiful retreat.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The team at Athulya are sincere and caring. The location is amazing, set in the hills near a local village, with a small lake a short walk away and an abundance of birds. The rooms are beautifully done up. There is a 2-hour round trip walk through rice paddy fields and past the lake, through the small village. We were welcomed by local villagers to their New Year's celebrations at the Buddhist temple to share tea and listen to prayers. One of the best Sri Lankan experiences we have had.
Felt like a true getaway, no complaints whatsoever.

Lovely place in the middle of the jungle, perfect for calming down and relaxing. Enjoyed a beautiful dinner and breakfast surrounded by trees, birds, and flowers. The room was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and showed us their amazing garden.
No alcohol available during the New Year dinner, which was not mentioned in advance. The Wi-Fi connection was not stable, although the hotel staff tried their best to help.

Surrounded by tropical bush, the amazing estate offers an unforgettable experience. The main building and villas are mind-blowing, with comfortable beds. The friendly and attentive staff go above and beyond to make your stay super comfortable. A special shout-out to Thilan for his impressive knowledge of the garden. The pool offers jaw-dropping views. Walking to the pond in the mornings to spot sunbathing turtles is a must-do. The food is delicious, especially the local curry options. The hotel's own fruit and vegetable garden ensures fresh ingredients. A 40-45 minute drive from the nearest city is worth it for this incredible hotel.
